Today, I experienced something I don’t see very often… ๐
The fall colors in the U.S. on a cold morning gave me an opportunity to reflect in a new location. I caught this particular tree on the way to my office for the day.
I had my hotel coffee in hand to keep me warm as the 3 degrees Celsius hit my face and hands hard. Being grateful for the ability to enjoy colors like this was the feeling that went through me. I can actually see this. I am grateful for not being blind. The clear blue sky, the vibrant red leaves, the morning sunrise slowly warming up the place. “One thing to be grateful for.”
Having worked long days in preparation for a new client launch made this extra great. Being part of a team that collaborates across time zones and cultures to bring together something great for our latest client reminded me how grateful I am for working in a company where I am surrounded by amazing people every day. “Another thing to be grateful for.”
Meeting a client earlier in the week and being able to show very strong progress was another highlight. The outcome of a number of months of hard work from everyone. Progress is about being a better version of ourselves today than we were yesterday. One percent better every day. “Yet another thing to be grateful for.”
My colleague decided to order an afternoon coffee for the both of us as a small celebration of the week coming to an end, rounding off a great afternoon. And the day is not even done yet! When we focus on things to be grateful for, they are all around us. If you are having a tough day, try to think about all the blessings that are showing up in your life.
Have a great weekend ahead to everyone out there reading.
How has your day been?
