Think about how frustrating it can be when instructions are mumbled or unclear. As a leader, your ability to articulate your words precisely directly impacts your team’s ability to understand and execute tasks effectively.
For your one-minute video today, I want you to practice giving a concise and clear instruction to an imaginary team member. As you speak, really focus on enunciating each syllable. Imagine you’re speaking to someone in a noisy environment and you need them to understand every single word. Pay attention to your mouth movements and ensure each sound is distinct.
After you’ve recorded your video, listen back very carefully to your pronunciation. Were there any words or phrases that sounded rushed or unclear? Did you notice any sounds blending together? Note down one word or phrase you felt you articulated well and one area where you could focus on more precise pronunciation tomorrow. Let’s make sure your instructions are always understood!”
