Welcome to Day 3! Today, we’re tuning into your voice, specifically focusing on Vocal Variety – Pitch Perfect, and how it helps you become more Inspiring and Motivating as a leader.
Think about the speakers who really grab your attention – they don’t just speak in a monotone, right? They use the highs and lows of their voice to emphasize key points and inject emotion. That’s what we’re exploring today.
For your one-minute video, I want you to craft a short message of encouragement or share a piece of your vision with your team. As you deliver this message, consciously experiment with varying your pitch. Notice how raising your voice can convey excitement or passion, while lowering it can create a sense of seriousness or conviction. The goal here is to use your pitch intentionally to make your message more inspiring and engaging.
After you’ve recorded your video, listen back carefully. Did you notice the variations in your pitch? Did those variations help to emphasize certain words or convey the emotion you intended? Note down one moment where you felt your pitch was effective in making your message more inspiring, and one area where you could try to use more pitch variation tomorrow to enhance your impact.
