Alright everyone, welcome to Day 18! Today, we’re practicing Answering Imaginary Questions to help you feel more prepared and confident in Addressing Team Concerns on the spot.
As a leader, you’ll frequently encounter questions, both expected and unexpected, from your team. Being able to think quickly and respond thoughtfully is a vital skill for building trust and providing clarity.
For your one-minute video today, I want you to imagine a common question or concern that your team might have. This could be related to a project, a change in direction, workload, or anything relevant to your workplace. Without any preparation, answer that question as if you were speaking directly to your team for one minute. Focus on being clear, concise, and empathetic in your response.
After you’ve recorded your video, watch it back and evaluate the clarity and empathy of your answer. Did you directly address the concern? Did you communicate in a way that would build trust and understanding? Note down one aspect of your response that you felt was effective and one area where you could be more direct or empathetic in future spontaneous responses. Let’s get comfortable addressing those important team questions!
