THE 30 DAY
CONFIDENT COMMUNICATION CHALLENGE
Alright everyone, welcome to Day 26! Today, we’re focusing on Story Arc Basics and how understanding them can help you in Communicating Project Progress effectively as a leader.
Think about how even a simple update can be more engaging when it has a bit of a narrative structure. A story arc – even a mini one – helps your audience follow the journey and understand the significance of where you are now.

For your one-minute video today, I want you to practice structuring a mini-story as you deliver an update on a project to your team. Think about the basic elements: the initial state or goal, any progress or challenges encountered, and the current state or next steps. Even within one minute, you can create a brief but compelling narrative that keeps your team informed and engaged.

After you’ve recorded your video, watch it back and analyze the structure of your update. Did it have a clear beginning, middle, and end? Did you highlight any key progress or challenges effectively? Note down one element of your story arc that you felt worked well and one area where you could make the narrative flow even better tomorrow. Let’s make your project updates engaging stories!
