THE 30 DAY
CONFIDENT COMMUNICATION CHALLENGE

Welcome to Day 6! Today, we’re focusing on Projecting Confidence (Volume), a crucial skill when you’re a leader Leading Through Uncertainty.

Think about times when things are challenging – your team looks to you for reassurance and direction. The volume of your voice plays a significant role in conveying that confidence and stability. If you speak too softly, it can undermine your message, even if your words are strong.

For your one-minute video today, I want you to share a brief message of reassurance or direction to an imaginary team facing a challenging situation. As you speak, consciously practice speaking at a volume that is clear and easily heard without being loud or aggressive. Imagine you’re addressing a room full of people who need to feel secure and guided. Focus on projecting your voice from your diaphragm, ensuring it carries weight and conviction.

After you’ve recorded your video, listen back to the volume of your voice. Did you sound clear and confident? Was your volume consistent throughout the message? Note down one aspect of your volume that you felt conveyed confidence effectively and one area where you might adjust your volume tomorrow to project even more assurance. Let’s make sure your voice always inspires trust and stability, especially when it’s needed most.
