THE 30 DAY
CONFIDENT COMMUNICATION CHALLENGE
Welcome to Day 12! Today, we’re focusing on Minimizing Distractions (Self-Awareness) as a key element in Projecting Professionalism as a leader.
Think about those little non-verbal habits we sometimes have – fidgeting, touching our face, swaying, saying “um” too often. While they might seem minor, they can sometimes distract from your message and undermine your professional presence.

For your one-minute video today, I want you to first reflect on your videos from the past week and identify one or two non-verbal habits you might have. Then, for your recording, deliver a short message about the importance of professionalism in leadership communication, consciously focusing on minimizing that specific distracting habit.

After you’ve recorded your video, watch it back with a critical eye. Were you more aware of the habit you identified? Did you manage to minimize it effectively? Note down the specific distraction you worked on and how successful you were in reducing it. What will you continue to focus on tomorrow to further refine your professional presence? Let’s polish those non-verbal cues!
